There are more than a dozen fireworks displays to check out throughout Westchester:
Monday, July 2
Scarsdale's Firework Spectacular begins about 9:15 p.m. on July 2 at the Scarsdale Pool Complex. Westchester Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. A $2 fee is charged to all non-pool members entering at 5 p.m. After 8 p.m., everyone entering the pool complex will be charged $2.
Tuesday, July 3
Valhalla: Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks. Enjoy a picnic at the park with pre-concert entertainment starting at 6 p.m. A band performance starts at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks about 9:15 p.m.
Ossining: Fireworks at Louis Engel Waterfront Park. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks start about 9:15 p.m.
Harrison: An 8 p.m. concert features the Tracy Delucia Band. Fireworks start about 9:15 p.m. Corner of Oakland and Halstead Avenues. Rain date is July 6.
Cross County Shopping Center: 8000 Mall Walk, Yonkers. Enjoy music by the FDR Drive Band at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks about 10 p.m. on July 3.
White Plains: At 6:30 p.m. July 3, the West Point Band's Benny Havens Band will perform for the City of White Plains Independence Day Celebration at the White Plains High School Athletic Fields, 550 North St. in White Plains. Fireworks at sundown.
July 3 and 4:
Holiday Fireworks Show both nights at Rye Playland, 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 4
Dobbs Ferry: Fireworks along the village waterfront begin shortly after 9 p.m. Picnic in the Park festivities and entertainment begins at 3 p.m.
Irvington: Fireworks begin between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at Matthiessen Park. Park permits are required. Residents are asked to park on the east side of the train tracks to make it easier to leave at the end of the show. (The rain date is Sept. 29 as part of the Rocktoberfest Celebration.)
Katonah: Pops, Patriots and Fireworks at Caramoor. 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 4. Fireworks' rain date is 9 p.m. Thursday.
Mamaroneck: Village of Mamaroneck fireworks are Wednesday, July 4 at dusk at Harbor Island Park, Boston Post Road & Mamaroneck Avenue.
New Rochelle: Produced and sponsored by the Grucci family, the City of New Rochelle's annual "Spark the Sound" extravaganza starts at 9:30 p.m. July 4, along the waterfront, rain or shine. Optimum viewing locations are from Hudson Park, Five Islands Park and waterfront restaurants.
Peekskill: Concert and Fireworks, Riverfront Green Park. Music starts at 7 p.m. and fireworks start about 9:15 p.m. on July 4.
Sleepy Hollow: The annual display begins at duck. Fireworks may be seen from Kingsland Point Park, DeVries Park, Barnhardt Park, Horans’ Park, and from the bottom of Beekman Avenue. (The rain date is Thursday, July 5.)
Tarrytown: Concert and fireworks at Pierson Park, 238 W. Main St. Concert begins at 7 p.m Fireworks begin about 9 p.m.
Yonkers: Yonkers Historic Pier at 71 Water Grant St. Entertainment by a DJ begins at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. on July 4 by Pyro Engineering.
Also, through July 7, the Village of Mamaroneck hosts its annual Fire Department Carnival: 6:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. every day, except Wednesday, July 4, when it opens at 4 p.m. at Harbor Island Park — Boston Post Road & Mamaroneck Avenue.
If you miss any of the above displays, the Town of Greenburgh will hold its annual fireworks display on July 21 at 9 p.m. as part of its Family Day celebration at AF Veteran Park.
